1. Data Processed
After the user authorizes access and enables rules, SignalBreak may store the following on the device:
- Daily total duration and Top 5 app summaries returned by Apple Screen Time;
- Privacy-preserving Family Controls tokens selected by the user;
- Rule configuration, intervention times, and outcomes;
- Daily self-reported check-ins;
- Sound, haptic, accessibility, and other app preferences.
SignalBreak does not create user accounts. The current version does not process names, phone numbers, precise location, contacts, photos, recordings, or advertising identifiers.
2. Purpose of Use
This data is used only to run user-configured reminders and Shields, show on-device trends, calculate intervention outcomes, and restore preferences. It is not used for advertising, cross-app tracking, identification, marketing, data sales, or profiling.
3. Storage, Sharing, and Retention
Data is stored in the iOS-managed SignalBreak App Group container. It is not uploaded to the developer or third-party servers, sold, or shared with third parties.
- Daily Screen Time and check-ins: retained for up to about three years;
- Intervention sessions: limited to 2,000;
- On-device events: limited to 200;
- Runtime health summaries: limited to 100.
4. Performance Records
The app may save on-device runtime health summaries when it starts, when low-power or thermal state changes, or when iOS delivers MetricKit reports. Raw reports are not uploaded. No background polling is used for these records.
5. User Control and Deletion
Users can open “Privacy & Data” in the app at any time to stop monitoring, clear SignalBreak's Shield, delete all local data, or revoke Screen Time access.
Deleting local data and revoking Screen Time access are separate actions. Deleted local data cannot be recovered. After access is revoked, SignalBreak cannot continue accumulating selected activity unless the user authorizes it again.
6. System and Regional Limitations
Detailed app names, duration, and Top 5 are available only when Apple provides the required authorization and the operating system and region support them. SignalBreak does not bypass system permissions or read page content, media, contacts, or calls from other apps.
7. Health Disclaimer
SignalBreak is a digital-wellbeing and habit aid. It is not a medical device and does not provide diagnosis, treatment, or medical advice. Consult a qualified healthcare professional if you have persistent discomfort or health concerns.
8. Changes and Contact
If a future version adds server sync, analytics, third-party SDKs, or other data processing, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosure will be updated before those features are released.

All SignalBreak user data is currently stored on the device. Users should therefore delete data within the app without sending identity information by email.
